Ma Petite France

On Saturday we went to Mont-Saint-Michel. It is a 3-acre stony island topped by a famous Gothic abbey, off the coast of Normandy in northwest France. The island is now surrounded by water only two times a month. It has one cobblestone street, which climbs in three spirals from a vast granite foundation to the towering Benedictine abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel. Despite being surprisingly chilly, it was an amazing excursion! 

(Le samedi nous sommes allés au Mont-Saint-Michel. C'est une île de 3 hectares pierre surmonté d'une célèbre abbaye gothique, des côtes de la Normandie au nord-ouest France. L'île est entourée par l'eau que deux fois par mois. Il a d'une rue pavée, qui monte en trois spirales d'une fondation de granit vaste à l'abbaye bénédictine dominant du Mont-Saint-Michel.En dépit d'être étonnamment froid, il a été une excursion incroyable! )
